2. In the search box, type cmd (for XP users, Start >> Run >> cmd)
3. Right click cmd (at top) and click Run as administrator.
4. In the elevated command prompt, type rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin and press Enter.
5. Close command prompt window.
6. Right click an empty area of the desktop and click Refresh.
